What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Allie) #3622

I just made the perfect pizza… meant to get some bacon and mushrooms for it but decided to use up freezer food instead so beef and broccoli pizza it is.

This will do breakfast for four days next week. I’ve got a new batch of Bulgarian yoghurt made up, that (with berries and chia) will do lunches at work and that’s pretty much my food sorted for the week.

Another suggestion thanks

Wombat perhaps :face_with_hand_over_mouth::

HOW DID YOU DO THAT!!!

Perfectly round steak: an abomination
Perfectly round pizza: bliss

In that case wombat is tender, but not exceptionally flavorful. I would have expected it to be more gamey.

#3627

Not free range maybe? Intensive feedlot wombat

I could say it’s because of my extensive training and experience in the pizza industry, which actually happened, but it wouldn’t be true… silicone cake “tins” !! I gently and evenly pressed the fathead dough into one, cooked it, flipped it out into another tin to cook the other side, then flipped it out onto the silicone sheet for topping.

I also added a teaspoon of baking powder to the dough mix to give it a bit of a rise.

Maybe I’ll check out the silicone cake pans next time I’m in the bake shop neighborhood. (I have to replace the silicone mat I ruined anyway.) if not I’ll still try the baking powder tip with my asymmetrical pizza crusts.

Went out for dinner this afternoon…I opted for the salmon with salad and butter but it did not fill me up! :sob: fingers crossed this does the trick! I even toasted up some keto bread and ate it with almond butter while I was waiting for my eggs to cook!

#3631

Wife made a meaty, cheesy Omelette for me. And yep, still staying under the covers… :face_with_thermometer:

#3632

Omelette looks so very good but boo to the lurgy!

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #3633

Can she make one for me please!?! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(Running from stupidity) #3634

Aye, I’m buying some this week (Aldi has it on special in a few days) to test that exact thing, so good to know.

My “to try” tab in OneNote has so many things in it it 's stupid. Not helped by a couple of weeks of alternate-day not eating (in addition to the usual days of it here and there), and the fact that I NEED to stop trying so much new stuff and just get back to basics for a while.

:+1:

They are pretty cylindrical.

We’ve been doing this since deciding to try it for garlic bread (with the fathead recipe) and it works a treat!

Someone mentioned a lack of organ meat in the thread so here’s what I ate today for what will probably be OMAD:

New York strip steak cooked blue rare, a side of spicy mayo, a heaping plate of tripe, a cup of lactose-free milk, about an ounce of cheese, and a little bit of dark chocolate. I only ate half the tripe and cheese, so saved the rest of those for tomorrow.

Thanks, Safi. And yeah, this is really starting to suck big time. Each time I feel like I’m getting better, I wake up all stuffed up, weak, etc. Been falling asleep periodically throughout the day too, which is also a sign of when I’m under the weather. … Plus, I’m scheduled to return to work Tuesday, so I was hoping. :expressionless:

Well, they’re definitely worth it. She used American Cheese inside (Which is what’s melting out in the pic) along with a bunch of sliced Ham, and then some shredded Cheddar on the outside.

Dinner tonight… Salad, Broccoli/Cauliflower Soup and NY Strip Steak…

(Lauren) #3638

It was delicious.

(Sophie) #3639

Hot chili on a chilly day…

#3640

So far… dinner has just been some Laphroiag but I’ve got a ribeye in the sous vide with some Kerrygold so it can only get better from here!

Sláinte

That chili looks great Sophie! Hope you’ve been doing well.

:+1: on everything but the tripe. My dad loved it so we had to eat it when I was a kid… never quite got past that. Oddly enough, I like liver and my picky eater almost 10 year old will ask for it. After the forced tripe childhood I try to be a little easier on my kids.
