Had a nice Christmas meal today… Rotisserie Turkey Breast, Deviled Eggs, Cauli-Egg Salad, Radish-Au-Gratin, Pickles and Olives. And some additional sides… 2 Mustard Pickled Eggs, couple Cheddar-Garlic Biscuits and a piece of Chocolate Cheese Cake. … :yum:

My first run on making Radish-Au-Gratin came out pretty good. Though I think I will tweak it some more, mostly because I think making it a bit more Cheesy, may help with the Wife’s liking of it. She ate a small bit tonight and said it wasn’t bad, but I think I can make it a little better, meaning even cheesier.

Kielbasa and Eggs
Always a Christmas morning tradition
Even pre-Keto. Go figure

#2727

Look forward to updates :yum:

Had some lovely prime rib. Olives, shrimp, cheese. Lots of goodies. Spent the morning in the ER because I tripped at 7 AM on a doorstop I broke my arm. Well a longitudinal distal radial fracture. Keeping it iced and it Is in a splint. Swelling a bit. Will see an orthopod maybe Friday and see if I need some pins in surgery. Erg. Someone nicely cut up my prime rib in bite-size pieces. Merry Christmas

#2729

Boo - hope it doesn’t need pinning

Well that’s something :slightly_smiling_face:

@juice beautiful food pics as always, I’ll stick with my quick and easy food pics and amazing swan pics though :joy:

(Running from stupidity) #2733

Thank you, ma’am. I’d be the first to admit the awesome swan photos are FAR more interesting

I’m also on the lookout for some more interesting plates to use for plating things up for shooting

(Allie) #2734

Just a different kind of beauty

Our Christmas dinner

Two of we diners are low-carbers. Everyone was happy. Yes, that it butter photobombing in the upper right.

This is my lovely wife’s artistry. Since one of our guests doesn’t eat pork, we had turkey. We use Alton Brown’s saline baste which makes a juicy and tender meal. The stuffing, potatoes and cranberry sauce I’m certain were delicious, based on my past experience, and our guest’s effusive accolades. My wife has her cheesy cauli-rice and schmaltzy sheet pan veggie roast. (Is schmaltz the right word for turkey fat?) That gravy is from here: https://nomnompaleo.com/post/67667225937/umami-gravy Everyone agrees it is better than the standard flour-based gravy of yore.

Our best Christmas day, and dinner, yet. I am so richly blessed with my wife, our family, and guests.

(Richard Morris) #2736

I am still waiting for the results of my blood test. Will let you know if it shows anything significant.

#2737

Ouch. Sorry to hear this, Karen. Hope it gets better soon, with no more issues.

(Allie) #2738

@Keto6468 how are you Karen?

(Ellen) #2739

Hope your arm (and the rest of you) is ok.

Boxing day left overs, flash fried some beef rib to warm it up and fried some of the cauli mash, spouts & bacon.
