Doodle Carbonara
Have you ever asked yourself why Pasta Carbonara isn’t a breakfast food? It’s classic Italian comfort food. Bacon, eggs and Parmesan cheese and some olive oil and black pepper, salt and parsley.
My verdict is “for no damn reason”.
I had some Matcha cake and espresso too!
There’s something wonderfully primal about just having slices of meat with a side of dipping salt that you eat with your fingers.
Not but 6 months ago I rewatched 2001, 2010, and then read all the novels including 3001. I’m a nerd.
It’s a nice day today, good grilling weather. Only I live in a balcony-less 3rd floor apartment .
So I did the best I could. Made some keto coleslaw (yum) and sautéed some yellow squash in lots of butter, it almost tastes like sweet corn. Had a super veggie burger with smoked cheddar too.
I made the BF boneless pork ribs with a sort of Carolina mustard style rub on them. He says they’re awesome but they look to me like I should have shortened the cooking time some. Oh well, I’ve never made ribs before and I’m pretty sure I’ve never eaten them before either, so just getting this good of a result is a win to me, lol
Cooked out on the grill, after vacuum sealing a bunch of meat after the wife made a meat run earlier. NY Strip, Hamburger, 1/4 Beef Hotdog, Mushrooms and Broccoli.
Top Sirloin Steaks, vacuum sealed in Singles, Doubles and Triple packages. And a row of London Broil Steaks on the right.
Also picked up NY Strips, packed Single, Double and Triple. And a row of London Broils. (Cut in half)
And some more London Broils and some packages made up for the Keto Pups.
Pups treats before packaging… Top Sirloin trimmings before they realized we don’t want them trimmed.
And also picked up two more 5 lb. packages of Bacon. Will seal those and the 1/4 lb. Beef Hotdogs tomorrow.
I cooked dinner for my sister and niece. Maddox turkey steaks (great macros), honey mustard dressing, buttered green beans, cheesy cauliflower-mash, and sliced cucumbers with souped up blue cheese dressing (added lemon juice and fresh cracked pepper). Yummy! Really hit the spot.
