Just had a couple pale ales but one of my twitter peeps found a low carb lager from a small brewery here in Vancouver and she says its good and she knows her beer. Its called Bridge Brewing Company and the beer is called PrimeTime.1.5g of carbs and 5% ABV
What did you Easter?
I celebrated Passover on Saturday.
I made Low carb charoset and Low carb matzo
I also ate (did not make)
Baked chicken
Lemon asparagus
Low carb grape drink (from old orchard)
Salad with a semi-sweet vinegrette
My cousin was in town with her daughter - we went to dinner at a locally owned steak house. We all had prime rib which was just so so and I had asparagus as my side and drank two glasses of pinot noir. We ended up going somewhere for gelato and I broke down and had half a cup. It was very good. And I was still down the next day. But I made Sunday a ‘one meal a day’ so that probably helped.
My 17 year old got a book and some smoked salmon in his easter basket
We went to friends’ house to eat, I had ham, deviled eggs, and raw veggies. My husband ate whatever he wanted, but I avoided the mashed potatoes, and all the desserts, so for me it was definitely a keto win
I took my own Tupperware dish to the family get together, London Broil topped with blue cheese butter, Keto Fathead Coconut flour bagel half, and half avocado sprinkled with bacon and chopped celery. I didn’t feel deprived, but did realize I should have packed a larger quantity that was more satisfying satiety wise, I think I packed based on being judged by others
Tell me more please? I have an abundance of home smoked blue cheese around.
Why is this ketogenic diet different from all other ketogenic diets? . . .
I don’t know if this is correct form, but I just take room temp blue cheese and room temp butter and blend (food processor or blender…even a fork and bowl, just might not turn out as smooth), you can then shape it if you want into a log/rectangle with plastic wrap and chill if you want to be able to easily measure/cut off a pat at a time later. I once had someone order a steak for me and the add on was blue cheese butter - a fan for life was born that day
Yes, and almond flour.
There should have been looks for both the mataz and charoset.
My kids liked the matzo, especially if it was a bit thicker and cooked a little less. They said it was like a cookie! It was maybe ⅛ inch thick.
Lovely leg of lamb. Wife made cheesy potato… I didn’t eat much of that. Twas a 5pm, fasted (extreme keto imo!) for prev 36 hrs…
