I started two weeks ago today and was out of town for my son’s soccer tournament this past weekend and did really well up until Sunday and then fell off the wagon, so to speak! Finding it very hard to get back on, any tips?
Two Weeks In
I’m new to the forum and certainly no expert, but I love eggs, bacon and avocado, so if I’m trying to reengage with the right way to eat, I feast on a ketogenic meal. That will usually satiate me, and make me forget my dalliance with foods I know aren’t right for me. Ultimately, I use a little cognitive behavior trick…there are no essential carbs, sugar is poison, et cetera. I don’t need that food. Moreover, it’s really bad for me, so…sure I miss apple pie, but not enough to compromise my journey. Finally, by that second piece of pie I have a headache and feel like shit. Been ketogenic for 6 months. Good luck. Hope this helps.
Just eat bacon and eggs for a week! This has to work! Hahaha! No seriously!
Try to understand the root cause of the problem. Why did you fall off the wagon? Then come up with what to do next time you are faced with the same situation as the root cause - as in what is a better decision next time? If you can prepare the decision now, and use it later, then you vaccinate yourself from future attack.
So…if the root cause is that there is no ready-to-eat food when you get home dog-tired and not wanting to cook…then, make sure that somehow there is a ready-to-eat keto meal for next time you get home dog tired.
If you can isolate the root cause, you can design the solution to conquer it.
Good luck…I hope you get back on the wagon…we want to see you succeed!!!
@richard said something in the podcast the other day - or could have been @carl and it was how to get back on keto…
Have some bacon and eggs…
You are now back on keto!
I had fallen off the wagon and back on - and I think that sometimes our brains can over complicate things. That simple solution from them made so much sense!
