hopefully, the constipation issue is “behind me”.
Next issue, I am craving “crunch”. Toasted Enlgish muffin, crispy rye toast, chewy bagel or crusty Italian bread. (any of these with gobs of butter or cream cheese). The closest Keto thing I can find in bread like foods is “fluff” or a pancake like consistency. Is there any way to find crunch on keto? I’d also love to dip a nacho chip into a bowl of melted chili cheese & salsa because it’s not polite to stick my finger in the bowl, lick and then double dip.
Although i’ve lost 40 lbs in 4 months I’ve slowed down and wonder if I am eating too much? I saw a recipe for “1 carb bacon and egg crepe pockets” that look good. The recipe had 4 slices of bacon, 4 eggs, and seasoning plus a crepe. 2 eggs, 3 oz neufchael cheese and seasoning makes 6 crepes.
Here’s the problem: A “serving” is one of these crepes with the above egg and bacon. Compare to a normal breakfast, it’s not unusual to consume 3 or 4 eggs and 3-4 slices of bacon or sausage patties. Sometimes I scramble with cheese spinach, mushroom (and meat) Lunch and dinner portions of other low carb fare similar size. In pre Keto days, in addition to the above would also include a bunch of bread, potatoes snacks and sweets. Yes, I like to eat.
Even during the 40 lbs loss in 4 months, my eating habits haven’t varied much.
Am I eating too much and can I continue to loose as long as the "mass quantities of food are keto? An no, I don’t exercise. I’m retired and most of my activity consists of sitting at a computer, driving or attending meetings. My age is 72.
