Today is my first day of keto and IF but I have been off sugar, gluten and all refined carbs since February. I’ve lost 57 lbs and stalled. I have now given up dairy and fruit. Can I still expect some side effects? Will I get into ketosis sooner? Appreciate any input.

Welcome to keto and IF. You may have a few side effects depending on how much and what kind of fruit you were eating (there is quite a bit of sugar in most fruit). You may have an easier time than most because you have been off of all other carbs and sugar. Don’t forget to get your electrolytes up (sodium, potassium and magnesium). Good luck to you! You’ll do great I dropped fruit October 13th and sugar and carbs. I had a couple days where I had a carb days but generally speaking I’ve done really well for one month.

Sounds like you shouldn’t have much issue. I dropped sugar over a year before starting keto and I had no carb withdrawal symptoms! Best of luck!!!
Not missing sugar or refined carbs at all. Loving my bacon and eggs and low carb veggies. Looking forward to this being a life long thing. I feel 20 years younger than I did when I was stuffing myself with crap. No longer pre diabetic, LDL and triglycerides down, cholesterol 144, off blood pressure Med.I don’t expect keto to change these stats much. I am a big proponent of apple cider vinegar and use it religiously for many things. Thanks for your input.
