He says it’s his fave way to eat sardines - and I seriously think that it may help me eat sardines!

I got the recipe in a newsletter thing from Thrive Mkt.

Thomas DeLauer’s Pan-Seared Sardines

Yield: 1 serving
Active Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 tin Boneless Sardines drained (he says skinless, but fish skin is so good for you…)
2 teaspoons Coconut Oil
Pinch of coarse salt
Pinch of Chili Powder

Instructions

Warm coconut oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add sardines and sear for 15 to 20 seconds per side, until warmed through. Season with a pinch of salt and chili powder before serving.

If you have a way of doing it outside, I would suggest this option  I takes a while to get the smell out of the kitchen :joy:
You can also dip them in a little keto-friendly flour and fry them, you can pan-sear them with or without flour, you can grill them… they are wonderful

I have to use them more. I like to make Putanesca Sauce with them. This guy is pretty cool with ideas for cooking with canned sardines, “French Guy Cooking”.

@Meerkatsandy yes, there’s the stinky can factor - I feed my indoor/outdoor cats Sardines every Sunday daytime when they’re inside. Dredging sardines for me in keto flour sounds like a great idea!

@David_Stilley thank you!!! Those goggles are hilarious - I’ll definitely watch the videos!
