I think Kirk is right, following a certain style is easiest for a beginner. I started with Atkins 20 years ago, I have read a lot since then -but I have not followed anything lately. Just watch my carbs… well, I do watch my calories every now and then,mostly to get enough food because of no hunger.
And fat. I need fat more than protein. I have had three cups of coffee today, each with cream and a spoonful ( 10 g) of butter. I start my day with a sip of olive oil. Little things can add fat.
