Sugars vs. Dietary Fiber in labeling

#1

I’m 2 months in and I’ve lost 20 lbs. Thanks to everyone.

I’m concerned, though, that I’m eating too few carbs. I’ve been targeting 10 grams/day. Mostly nuts and unsweeted cocoa powder and some random vegetables (spinach etc). One thing that I find confusing is the distinction in labeling between dietary fiber and sugars. Do we count dietary fiber toward our total carb count?

Thanks!

First, you can’t have too few carbs.
Second, some people count “full carbs” and some count “net carbs” (carbs - fiber).

How you count them is up to you

I count net for carbs in foods in their natural form (veggies, nuts, eggs, etc), everything else from “keto-friendly” items (baked goods (flours), low carb sweeteners, processed foods (baked goods, protein bars, etc) I would count total.
