Over the past week or I’ve listened to 2 Keto Dudes podcast from the start up through the end of 2016. It really peeked my interest and gave me hope for living a more healthy life.
I’m 32. I went to the doctor today for the first time in many years. I should be getting my blood work back soon. As of yet I’ve not been diagnosed diabetic but I suspect my insulin may be out of wack.
It was interesting. I’m obviously overweight (morbidly obese) and that is my doctors biggest concern. He brought up eating healthy, low sugar and increase healthy fruits! I didn’t really push back on him about the fruits. I didn’t specifically tell him I was going keto and obviously fruit is just sugar. He also said I could be a good candidate for weight loss surgery and he’d give me a referral if I wanted but suggested I try nutrition first. I’m going to get healthy eating bacon! Not having a surgery.
I’ve got an appointment with a nutritionist next week. I suspect I’ll be telling them about my keto plans. I’ve not heard much about where nutritionist stand on keto. Does anyone have experience or tips for talking to nutritionists about going keto?
