Starting Keto + Intermittent Fasting

So several years ago I started intermittent fasting on and off. I didn’t lose weight but I got more energy and stuff like that.

It led me to keto eventually.

I don’t know that I’m in ketosis but I feel like I"m starting to get the hang of it. It is sooooo much easier for me to do keto and IF at the same time. Otherwise I eat more carbs than I should.

I love veggies, so that’s no issue for me.

the problem is that starting it, I feel like I have to start all over again.

Is it ok, if I can only handle 13-14 hours a day?

It’s perfectly fine if you can’t go more than 13-14 hours without getting hungry. Feed yourself! If you keep staying low carb, moderate protein and high fat, you will eventually be able to go longer and longer, if that’s what you want. It took me about a six weeks before I felt comfortable enough try a 24 hour fast.

I have never gotten to that level yet. I am still having problems remembering to drink enough fluids when I’m craving carbs and sugar.

thus my slip ups but I’m slowly coming around. thanx.

I still have this problem. I find that having a big cup of water next to me helps remind me. Have confidence in yourself Brenna. You can do this! :wink:
