Starter kit

Hi friends,

I am not really sure where this question would fall. I am not really a newbie, since I have been doing keto, more strictly, for 5 months now. I have told my mom. She is interested. What would be a good “keto starter kit” idea for helping her get started?

buy on-line and have them shipped to her. That would be an awesome!!!

You can also purchase and pack them in dry ice and take them to her.

A book. That is where it starts.

I thought of that, as well. I need a good beginner book that is pretty simple to follow. My mom does not know a lot about carbs, protein, fats, etc. Do you know of a good book that is pretty much a “ketos for dummies” style book? I use the “For Dummies” series for other things I do, like programming. SO I know they are good books.

I have had a couple people, now, ask me, what I am doing to lose weight. Is there a “generic” or “cookie cutter” keto diet that I can use to explain to them. They are not very savvy on our “lingo” of carbs, protein, and fats.

You could tell them you cut out all sweets and grains. They’ll freak out, of course. :grinning:
