Stall

(Anh Zulekh) #1

So I started keto on the 10th and within the next 5 days I lost 5lbs.
Now its the 20th of March and I haven’t lost any more weight. Whats going on? Do i need to go below certain number of calories?

I have been having cauliflower 1-2 cups for lunch… is that the problem? Im going through all the food I am eating but nothing is outside keto list.

Strawberries (3) rasberries(4) and 2 blackberries every other night with keto chocolate mousse made with whipping cream, cocoa, mascarpone cheese “, salt and stevia.

These are the two things im thinking are causing this stall? Please advice

Hello and welcome.
In order to assist you we need more information. How much fat are you eating? How much protein? Please give us your meals for a day or two.
Another thing keto is not a quick weight loss diet. If your body has some healing to do before it let’s go of your weight that will happen first. Men lose weight faster than women . And you’ve only just started. Stick with it. The weight will follow as long as you’re doing the basics. 20 grams of carbs, moderate protein and fat to satiety.
Best wishes

I did have i spoon full if keto chocolate mousse with 2 strawberries, 4 rasberries and 3 black berries around 10 and forgot to log it.
So carbs from that would have increased

In a couple of months you will look back on this post amused and slightly embarrassed… you must have seen enough people a couple of weeks in ask the same question and get the same answer…

You have just started…
Weight loss is not linear (and early loss is just water weight)…
Other non-scale changes are happening…
Stop freaking out…
KCKO!

You are doing things right from the little you’ve told us. Keep going until you are fat adapted and in an efficient ketosis which should be just a few more weeks and you will see more weight loss, lower appetite and the other benefits of keto.

I was thinking that too but I needed someone else to reassure me; someone who has been through this.
Thank you

My pleasure… you’ll be writing the same post to new folks yourself in a couple of months
