Shake ACV?

Sorry but, I did a search and read a lot about Apple Cider Vinegar without finding what I was looking for. Do you and are we suppose to shake the bottle before pouring some? That stuff that collects on the bottom looks nasty but, of course it’s probably the good stuff…lol

I always shake my ACV before i use it; you are correct, the stuff at the bottom is the stuff you really want. Drink up and enjoy lol!

That “stuff” is the Mother. It is the yeast culture that made the vinegar. It’s an indication of it being unprocessed and in it’s natural state. It’s beneficial, shake it up. :cowboy_hat_face:

Fine then I will shake it from now on… Thanks a lot you 2!

You want the mother and the vinegar both. Shake away.

It is my understanding that vinegar is wine changed by acetic acid bacteria. It is a disaster if you are trying to make wine! The bacteria eat the alcohol or at least neutralize it. Which is why sanitation is so important in the wine making process. :slightly_smiling_face:
