Seeking flank steak marinade ideas

I used to make an Asian-inspired marinade with honey. I think I need to go in another direction to avoid being disappointed. Any ideas?

I like this one:
4 TBS Coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
4 TBS Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 cup oil (I use Avocado, but Peanut is nice if you do peanut)
2 Green Onions, Chopped
2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1 1/2 Teas. Ground Ginger
2 teas. crushed red pepper flakes (omit if you don’t want the fire)
1 teas. Sesame Oil
1/2 teas. salt.

Mix everything together and use to marinate. I use this on salmon, beef, por & chicken.
