This is a very simple and delicious Italian seafood dish, called “Fritto Misto”.
First start with your desired mix of raw seafood. I defrosted a package.
A nice blend of squid, shrimp, clams, octopus and mussels
First I melted a few tablespoons of beef tallow in a pan and brought it to smoking hot temperature
I tossed in the raw seafood medley. Added a bit of dried rosemary and ground pepper (salt not needed).
It only took about 6 minutes for the seafood to be cooked, indicated by colour and texture changes
Seafood was quickly removed using a slotted spoon and fresh squeezed lemon juice was used to complete the dish…simple and delicious!
