Hello I am a first time poster - I am doing IF & Keto. My girlfriend (not blaming) will make fresh pizza or order some chicken wings at the bowling alley and I am Looking and smelling this food ,clearly want it. How do I avoid my desire for it in regular life?

Not much wrong with the chicken wings as long as they are not heavily breaded/coated. Buffalo wings are pretty keto, even the ones with sweetened sauce won’t be too bad.
Tuck in, ask for a double order and get extra ranch or sour cream. Rub their face in your awesome WoE
As for pizza, check out the Carlshead recipe (search the forum for this) - if i can make it well, anyone can, and it is good even for carbo-philes. Convert your gf?
I don’t know how long you’ve been eating Keto, but @Capnbob has given you good advice. I find most things I’m craving have a good keto alternative. One of the things that keeps me motivated is trying new recipes (admittedly, I’m still hunting for the perfect low carb bagel ). In the meantime, I’m really enjoying the rich, fatty foods that used to be off limits as I calorie restricted my way to a total health breakdown.
I think that a common experience is that the longer you eat this way and the more strictly you stick to keeping your carbs under the 20 net grams and are eating fat to satiety, you’ll find yourself becoming fat adapted and the less you’ll want the carby things that might tempt you off track. I’d read and heard this a lot from other low carbers, and didn’t really understand how powerful this change was until it happened for me. It’s like magic. I find other reasons for being tempted to eat things that don’t serve me physically (someone bakes a birthday cake for me, for example). But without the powerful, physical need to eat them that was always driving my behavior, it gets easier and easier to make a different choice.
Good luck!
If you don’t have an aversion to Gluten…

I got the Everything Bagels to try and they were surprisingly good, even non-keto hubby enjoyed them.
Thanks for the suggestion! I was just looking at these on netrition.com (and wondering). I had found the best price on CocoPolo milk chocolate bars on their website and started browsing through their other offerings. I also saw some low carb tortillas that looked promising.
I’m not sure about gluten. I eliminated that along with so many other things at the same time but I’m willing to try an n = 1 experiment.
Hmm… Is life pushing me to try more chocolate? However will I survive this awful Keto way of life???
Edit: these are also available on netrition.com. I see an order in my near future.
At a pizza place, I order a supreme light on the sauce and scrape all of the toppings off with a fork. I get strange looks but I never feel deprived. Some may disagree but hey I’ve lost 60lbs. Find what works for you.
Pizza is my favorite food. When I first started I did not order it for my kids for the first month. Then I ordered it picked it up and immediately left the house to go someplace. By the time I came back it was cold and yucky. I still might have eaten it that way but honestly was not as out of control as on other diets. After 4 months or so I was able to order it and watch them eat it and it does not matter too much. I make my own Fat Head Pizza see DietDoctor.com and did not miss pizza in the same way. I rarely make it because it is a lot of work but when I have a craving I will.
Buffalo wings are an easy recipe, half hot sauce without carbs and half melted butter
If she is making fresh pizza have her try to make a fat head pizza instead. My daughter is non keto and lives with me yet, we have found it to be superior to normal pizza and more or less keto friendly depending upon how you top it. She in fact prefers it to normal pizza and its pretty quick and easy to make.
Fathead pizza is actually pretty easy to make, though it can take a bit of time, if you want extra toppings. I made some last night, and everyone in the family always raves whenever I do, even the non-ketoers. I fry up some onions, peppers, and sausage for Dad’s toppings, and for my sister and myself, it’s pepperoni. The time-consuming part is preparing the toppings, because once you top the pizzas, they don’t stay in the oven any longer than it takes for the cheese to melt.
