Resistance to Fat Adaptation - Is It Real?

(Michael - When reality fails to meet expectations, the problem is not reality.) #1

In another discussion the issue of the apparent inability to adapt to fat metabolism arose. I posted the first link below as a response and thought it warrants a discussion of its own.

Maybe it is a thing that some folks can not ‘fat adapt’ or only with great difficulty. So here we go. Let’s explore this to see what we can determine. All input welcome, but please back up claims and assertions with citations. Thanks.

Nope. Fat adaptation is painful. Muscles hurt and I want bread to take the pain away.

Some foods like anthocyanins, nightshades and cruciferous plants do prevent fat adaptation.
