Questions about IF

I want to try IF. I still need to lose weight so on my IF days I could easily just eat one meal about 700-800 calories and feel full the rest of the day. Then on my non IF days eat three meals about 1,400-1,600 calories. Is this a good approach to keep my body guessing on how many calories it will get each day and help me contiue to lose weight?

At first it will work for a while. Eventually, you will stall because your body will anticipate you doing exactly the same thing. When that happens, switch things up. Do 18:6, do a 24 hour fast, or a 36 hour fast, then have a high calorie day (keep the eating window 18:6) and then do a low calorie day, then an 18:6 but high calorie. Variation is key. But, I know when you are just starting out it’s easier to have a schedule.

20/4 fast is called intermittent fasting.
