Okay, this one’s weird.
I’ve been keto for ten months, have only lost a disappointing amount of weight, tweaked macros, micros, calories, IT, exercise, salt, alcohol, dairy, sweeteners, and caffeine in a desperate attempt to figure out what the fuck, and now there’s a new development: protein seems to be triggering me to eat way past satiety just like carbs used to, and with the same unpleasant repercussions in my waistband.
I’m wondering, has protein gluconeogenesis suddenly kicked into a higher gear or have I somehow become exquisitely sensitive to it? Is this a thing on keto? Google is no help.
My carbs have always been below 25, increasing them ends ketosis abruptly. I haven’t lost enough weight to dramatically alter my needs through body composition. IT for longer than 8 hours is out of the question for medical reasons. I haven’t introduced any new foods into my diet and the only thing with an ingredients list on my refrigerator shelves is the HWC which I’ve been enjoying since day one. You can pry that from my cold, ketogenic hands.
Has anyone noticed a sudden internal shift like this regarding protein? The first bite of eggs, bacon or sardines literally makes me want to eat it until I’m sick. What the hell? I tried getting through the day on just fat bombs but I was hungry every three hours.
PS: I’ve got to figure this out for $0. Doctors won’t accept interpretive dance as payment.
