Well, I’ve managed 2 x 100 hr fasts. I was hoping for longer but I think I run out of salt after 4 days. I just go starving at that point. I stumbled across an old Richard post that said these night time cravings are usually salk. I did have some on my previous fasts but no specific daily amount. So this time I’m going to have at least 2 Ketoaides a day or more. Lots of tea and sparkling water. Bone broth just had my blood sugar all over the map.
Knock on wood I can make it 7 days, but I’d like to get to 14 since Fung says that will reset your Insulin Resistance. My HOMA-IR is 4.8 or something horrid. I don’t really lose a heck of a lot of weight on keto, so hopefully this will help. My leptin also seems better each fast. I actually get full (though I’m back to pretty hungry all the time).
I’m going to start over the weekend, so it’ll be easier to ignore my wife/roommate cooking all the time. Knock on wood, by day 4 or so they will be in take out mode. Last time day 4 was Saturday and all I got was food smells all day long.
