OMAD & loss of mental energy?

Generally loving IF – I’m fat adapted and have been at IF for about 9 months. Rarely eat breakfast, and stopped adding fat to my morning coffee a few months ago.

I’m finding that, while I’m alert, I’ve been hitting a mental wall around 3:00 PM and don’t feel much like thinking or working past then, even if I take a break. I’ve started to add MCT and fat back into my coffee and it seems to help.

Anybody else had a similar experience, or have advice?

I find that sometimes I need a dose of fat around lunchtime to focus better in the afternoon. Usually I have a healthy handful of macadamia nuts.

I feel better if I do my OMAD at around 1 in the afternoon - even with a big meal I generally feel good & fired up. I usually also get a second-wind in the evening which sees me pacing the living room but I do wind down & sleep very well on an empty(ish) stomach.
