The one I mentioned is Terra Origin ADK, which I bought on sale from vitacost when they stopped carrying it. It is significantly more expensive, but can be had for only another $5 above what you paid:
I can’t guarantee that it is all trans version MK7, but the company stresses using natural sources. I’m sure you can call them to find out. It will give you 4 times more MK-7 than the one you ordered.
Having said all this, I should mention that another thing I have done is to take strains of Bacillus subtilis which are known to set up shop inside the human gut. Therefore, presuming I was successful in getting them to become established, they are making me more trans vit K2 MK-7 than I will get from supplements simply by eating stuff with vitamin K1 in it like green vegetables and salads. The Japanese have cultivated a strain called Bacillus subtilis natto which is a vitamin K2 MK-7 producing machine, but I don’t know if it can take up shop in the human gut. Nevertheless, it can be ordered online quite cheaply on places like eBay, which I did, and encapsulated myself for consumption, and if I had the stomach for it, I could use to make natto. ctviggen on this site does. You don’t actually have to encapsulate it though, because its spore can survive the human stomach, so all you need do to get some is to eat some natto…
Youtheory Spore Probiotic has a strain of Bacillus subtilis which I believe is supposed to be human compatible. I would actually recommend ProBioGen’s Daily Spore Probiotic first. I used to also get some in Orgain’s Protein powder with superfoods, but now it only has coagulans.
I should probably add that I don’t worry about supplementing vit K2 MK-4. It is very short lived in the body, and I believe I probably get enough in my dairy because I get raw goat’s milk from a lady who I know feeds her goats live grass… she has a field of grass for them… plus they get fresh alfafa hay in the winter along with goat feed. So, I know this milk is going to have plenty of MK-4 and probably a good amount of MK-7 as well, since Bacillus subtilis is a ubiquitous soil biotic known to live in ruminant animals.
That Life Extension looks good. I overlooked that one when I was choosing.
I mainly was focused on trans when I made my choice. Plus I like the idea of being able to have flexibility in dividing the doses of mk7 throughout the day. The mk4 just happened to be one of the ingredients. Figured it can’t hurt.
Another thing is that mk7 supplements that also contain D3 tend to have an out of balance ratio of D3 to mk7. This one doesn’t so it has that going for it. At any rate I’ve got enough mk7 and D3 to last me until summer.
