About 72 hours in (Sat pm - Tues pm). Today I was pretty spaced (lack of sleep and depression playing up), so it feels like a cheat fasting day, TBH - I was kinda hungry a few times, but nothing major.

My wife gets home tomorrow afternoon, so I’ve got steaks in the sous vide, and I think I’ll have lunch tomorrow.

Fasting today.

The ADF has gotten easier. I can’t say that I like it, but the thinking of food and wanting to eat (without actually being hungry) part has gotten better. So I’m pushing it into next month, I think. I’m coming up on four weeks of it, so it’ll be interesting to see what the effect on my weight might be.

80+ hours in, and I’ll call it quits on this in a few hours. Have something small an hour or so before lunch.

I think I’m mentally ready to call it, although I feel as though I could easily push through a fair bit longer.

I also suspect I’ve wrung all the weight loss out of this fast that I’m going to get - down 3.8kg in 72 hours - so I am gonna quit while I’m ahead… (I know it’ll bounce, I’m just amazed at the quantum of the change.)

48h. Not hungry at all but i am quite short fused,

Was an emotinal rollercoaster but I managed, no biger hunger pangs, could all be fixed with salt.

No, not as far as I can tell. I have looked up the symptoms, etc. I feel great fasting, I feel great on keto, and I’m just really healthy except for carb addiction, overweight, and torn menisci (bad knees)!

so I would say don’t worry too much… don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. What works for others might not be perfect for you.
I always had salt cravings, my mum never let me have enough causing me to stuff my face with carbage… I could have lived on bacon butter eggs and olives if they would have let me.
my body just dumps all the minerals out if i don’t have the salt, causing muscle cramping.

If you don’t experience that, perfect.
Keep the salt in mind should you feel anything, if not, just go on as usual and keep listening to your body…

My problem: to much energy and no way to spend it.
Going from my desk job right to a course sitting all day this week… plus being surrounded by super sloooow people. Be it slow in a physical or mental way…

58h… slept horribly tossing and turning… super groggy today but not hungry at all, so that’s a plus…
Day just started and I can’t wait for it to be over…

Update… They are talking about Burgers at the office… staaahp…

9 hrs in so just started. Hubbie and I will fast together and break it on Thanksgiving.

Should only be a 40-hr fast so not anticipating any issues breaking it. Although with me doing all the cooking I may break mine a bit earlier if I have to taste something to check the seasoning.

This is the first time I’ve fasted at home with my husband. He always makes the morning coffee and I found out this morning he has a special “fasting coffee” he always brews when fasting.

It is very mild and easier to drink black w/o all the amendments we normally add.

Sounds very interesting. I love my coffee but with hwc. I did a 36 hr. fast segment last week, with black coffee but it wasn’t as enjoyable as my keto coffee I have daily.

He makes it the same way - it is the brand he buys that is so mild. Most of the coffee we drink is a bit bolder, which if fine when you add HWC to it!

My husband has always brought me coffee in bed and these days it is more of a production LOL. Used to be a few drops of stevia and half and half.

Then low carb… stevia and HWC.

Then keto… stevia, HWC and Kerrygold butter…

Now maintenance and some loose skin… stevia, HWC, KG and collagen!

He likes the 8 O’Clock coffee for fasting and gets a huge bag at WalMart - I’ll pose a pic from my phone.

I add some salt to my black coffee and that helps. I don’t like it black but going for autophagy so not taking a chance.

My fasting coffee has become just black coffee with added Lite Salt.

I heard Jason Fung on a podcast the other day saying that if you’re goal is autophagy rather than fatloss then 24 to 48 hours fasts are the best option. This makes things a whole lot easier for me as fasts of that length are normally a breeze.

Thanks, Allie - I hadn’t heard that about the 24-48 hrs best for autophagy. My husband is ONLY fasting for autophagy and 36-40 hours is about all he can manage.

Yep do the same - 1/4 tsp Lite Salt in my black coffee. I make a double size of the ketoaid, so 1/2 tsp Lite Salt, 1 Tbl mag citrate and I add another Tbl ACV. Sipping on some now.

15 hours in and slightly hungry as this is when I normally eat my first meal but I am sipping on salted water so it should fade away.

It was 24F this morning and I have extra layers on even though the house is a comfortable temp. I’ll be cranking up my heated mattress pad tonight as I usually get cold at night when I fast.
