NomNom Paleo Cracklin' Chicken

(8 year Ketogenic Veteran) #1

First I made magic mushroom powder.
I only made 1/3 of this recipe. One ounce dried porcini mushrooms, 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 2 teaspoons dried thyme, 2/3 cup kosher flaked salt

Then I made Cracklin’ Chicken.

I was impatient. Got them a bit too dark. They were fine though. Will retry this recipe soon, and post new and improved photos.

Think I’ll be trying this sooner rather than later. Love her recipes and instructions!

(Bacon for the Win) #3

I have made this before and loved it.

(No I'm not mad - that's just my face) #4

Looks awesome. I made the magic mushroom powder like, a year ago, and still have half and almond butter jar full. A little goes a long way. I love adding it to steaks and burgers and stews. Gives flavor such depth.

@lewis_michl1
Can you see this post and “like” it?

(Kate) #9

I am so lazy. I have been making this chicken for at least a year now if not longer and have never made the topping, only the chicken. I have gotten even lazier and now bake it in the oven with a small bit of lard on each thigh and even leave the bone in now. Yours looks yummy. Mighty just have to attempt to do it with the mushroom unami.

(michl) #10

Yes was just able to like the post. what does that do for me? Is it the same as FB?

(8 year Ketogenic Veteran) #11

It doesn’t look the same as facebook, but when you hit “reply” to my comment (the curved arrow on the bottom right of my comment) I get a notification that you replied. You’ll get used to it. The forum really is nothing like Facebook @lewis_michl1, and for that I am eternally grateful. :nofb:
Trolls are rare (we’re dealing with one right now on a fat phobic post) but it’ll be gone soon.
Did you figure out how to link a forum recipe elsewhere?

(michl) #12

No, I haven’t figured out recipies yet. I really like Pinterest because I already have so many things saved. It’s my cookbook anymore. And my garden advise, diy health, and so many other things.
