NoCarbvember Adventure!

wow sorry you suffer so much with that.
I have sinus issues with seasonal allergies and I have to say they can be horrible to stop me in my day. So I am so happy to hear that OMAD and carnivore is working to help you.

Give us some background…how long have you been zero carb? Or are you between carnivore and a keto plan? I did that for a bit and realized only zc works for me

Welcome and join in and chat up. Eating carnivore is a plan that helps so many cause plants cause alot of reactions in our bodies. The elmination down to zero carb eating plan is great cause then one can ‘experiment’ back in stuff if they can handle it but at least they know how the food effects them. I am one who needs to be zc for life, and that is not said sadly at all , I love this plan :sunny:

hubby is probably right  Our lifestyle can literally blow thru out great zc benefits sometimes. Eggs give me nothing. I can eat 10 eggs and then I need a steak LOL It is fresh dense meat that holds us best.

I hope ya got one for the freezer. My hubby lost his hunt cabin lease with his friends and hopes another friend can get him into a guest pass for his hunt club…we need a few for the freezer. Since we sold the big farm and land, he has no where to hunt and it drives him batty on that

Its called Dover Sole. A fish that lives in the north sea

(Karen) #404

I know it well. I used to live on the promenade in Deal, Kent and the fishermen would bring in their catch and sell it from a little hut close to us. O was more or less brought up on fish… I may have recognised it before it was cooked lol x

I don’t normally eat early but on Sunday I was hungry before church so I cooked half a pound of a sugar-free fairly clean sausage. came home and nibbled on a couple ounces of chicken liver pate I made half and half with butter and a little salt. Added a bowl of pork rinds to that. I’ve got a duck cooking in the oven and I will eat as much of that as I can for dinner and take the rest to lunch tomorrow along with the other half pound of sausage. Saturday and or Sunday are two meals and a snack or three meals, during the week I have a great pattern of usually two meals.

Whelk, basically sea snails.

So today was fish, snails and leftover pork meats.

Not my best days. And it was my super relaxed break day with liver stew… That Alvaro managed to burn a bit so it’s nothing like my wonderful fried liver… yesterday? It seems ages ago… Even the onions disappeared but they tend to do that in a stew. But i didn’t felt their sweet tastiness under the bitterness and liverness. Maybe liver isn’t even fit to become a stew… I will test it later.
I had my pancakes but I look at every food using my roasted pork chuck meter… Almost everything is disappointing there. Oh well. And I still don’t like eggs.
So it was nice but not a great day but I can’t have proper meat every day… At least not if I eat them up quickly every time… I won’t have any tomorrow either but Tuesday should be sunny and I walk to the village to get some meaty bones and maybe something else, we will see where will be available. It will be chicken, probably. Alvaro considers eating meat a burden as we need to get meat all the time and I feel this sometimes but I think about it and know that if we would buy more at once, it would be better (we are still adjusting to a different, more meaty style and buying much meat and not even at a farm… it’s super new to us. and a big slab of meat seems so much… and it’s so not, I realize when I enthusiastically taste it a bit…) and it’s the same with vegetables and the others too, we can’t store just any amount of them and some has a short shelf life. At least meat can be freezed (though I put almost anything into the freezer. such a useful place. it’s half full with forest mushrooms now, I found a lot! it’s a super cool activity for me).

I did an elongated OMAD today. More like IF 21/3 or something. So perfect satiation… I keep it if I can! I can eat enough and in such a small window it gives me very long satiation, it’s very very nice and convenient.

Sunday omad: bone broth, halloumi, raw pork heart (about an inch thick slice of that, once it thawed enough to chop), scrambled egg whites with cheese and tallow, raw round steak with raw egg yolks, butter, beef fat, and 1/3 container of frozen cod liver.

Looks absolutely delicious Daisy.

It was!! Then I actually was still a little hungry after, so my husband handed me his leftover steak (cooked) to put away and I ate it instead with some butter

Hello everyone,

Yesterday was a one meal day. I was visiting my parents and it’s just easier not to eat when I’m there. For dinner I had two hamburgers, a bratwurst, a fried egg, and the rest of my chicken liver pate. The interesting thing was that all week long I though the pate tasted sooo good. Last night it was meh. I guess I’ve had enough liver for the time being.

That was enough to tide me over to lunch today, I made myself an egg sandwich using carnivore bread. Dinner was a huge rib eye.

The wonders of being a middle aged woman:
I dropped four pounds my first two weeks of full carnivore, then bounced back up anywhere from 3-5 pounds. Bounced around there for the past month or so. From yesterday morning to this morning I dropped three pounds. Crazy.

Well…false alarm yesterday. The shot I head was our neighbor. There were 3 under the hunting blind when he walked out there at first, and they decided to scram. Later, hubby had one in his sights, and was ready to pull the trigger, then the fawn appeared about 8 feet behind. He was merciful, and didn’t pull the trigger. There’s so many deer out there- no sense taking a mama from it baby. So…he’s out again this morning.

We had VERY high winds howling all night, and its still blowing a bit right now. I’m working 930-7pm today…wish I had slept better. But, howling winds are loud. OH! So yesterday morning, I made bacon and eggs for breadfast, then we went to church. Took a ride about 100 miles out to Marquette, and went out to eat. I had parmesan crusted cod. Nummynum num num. Then, went shopping. Got home, and two of the older kids were here - so - I fixed a big ole dinner with chicken, and a bunch of sides.

While we were in Marquette, we stopped at Gordon Food Service, which is a restaurant supply store - and got 10 pounds of chicken breasts for $17.98. Butter was down to $2.79/#. So I got 6 pounds of that, too. Bacon, cheese, (salad for the fam) yeah…it was a good trip. Gotta go whip up something for a meal at work - for later in the day. Its gonna be a long one! Cheers!

I am back to my lowest weight this morning, which I was on 10/12/20. I have been up and down all month, but this past week lost 3.6 pounds to bring me back to my lowest. Hopefully I am in the downward trend from here. This year has been so crazy that I decided to decorate for Christmas last night. I figured I could use a little more Christmas this year. Tonight is our last volleyball game of the year which make me sad, but I will continue walking daily. I bought a new calendar for next year that includes a habit tracker and goals pages. I am excited to use it. I have been using a pocket calendar to write down my weight and significant diet changes just to see what I did that may change my weight from week to week. I really think reducing my HWC and coffee intake last week helped in the drop of weight. I also seem to drink less when I use my yeti cup and the coffee stays hotter longer so I do not need to drink it so quickly. I was not hungry enough this morning for eggs, but did cook up a large amount of pepperoni and cheese sausages from Lowes Foods this morning for work. My Dad’s biopsy results will be told to him tomorrow, so if you are a praying person, please say a prayer for him. I do have a better mood here recently. I am beginning to think that my last period of depression could have been hormone related on top of being so overwhelmed. It’s been fun to see how all of your weekend’s have went. Have a great day my carnivore peeps.

Nice!! Good job!!!

(Daisy) #418

Today’s meal made me so happy. True comfort food!!
Bacon, cheesy scrambled eggs, liver pâté, halloumi fries, bone broth, raw round steak with a raw egg yolk and raw bone marrow. Plus a little pat of finlandia butter. It’s just like kerrygold, so delicious!
I’m feeling so good!

(Vic) #419

Just looking at it makes me happy.
Marvellous, beautiful. yummy.

@Ketodaisy, I’m just curious as to why you are eating some of your food raw. Do you just like the taste or are there other reasons?
