NoCarbvember Adventure!
Oh my lord the brisket is delish and tender, even better still with a sprinkling of grated mature cheddar! Not sure the joint will last till tomorrow but feeling quite full with the small amount I ate.
I forgot to put these here⌠Alas, they are all very much gone, I made pork liver, it was nice but little, I left the bigger part for tomorrow. But itâs only a part of the whole liver, I didnât want to buy much as itâs my first time making it and when I ate it at a relative, it was quite hard and not as nice as chicken liver.
Well, mine was delicious and softâŚ
It was hard to lose my little hunger, satiation will kick in eventually⌠I should have stuff ready to eat even when cheese or some simple egg dish just canât do⌠I ate everything I had and it wasnât enough. But I reminded myself of my whipped cream so I had a nice coffee with cream, not like it has any satiating effect but maybe after a very proper day, it still has a tiny bit? Whatever, it was very satisfying.
So I had my 2nd coffee in November.
So, my pork chuck, RIP.
Itâs a wee bit stressful that I always run out of meat and need to figure out how to buy more and what and when⌠Today we went nowhere (except Alvaro run a lot and I walked a bit and collected various fruits, itâs autumn here, after all). We probably will visit the butcher on Wednesday but I probably go into the village to get some bony chicken for soup⌠I only have liver and fish left. I tend to buy too little at once, partially I have good reasons for it (when I just try out something the first time, for example) but partially itâs just habit and seems odd to buy even more as I do buy a nice amount - but we eat it up in no time⌠The next time I see good prices and something I know I will like, I will buy much (compared to my freezer space but we can prepare a lot of meat right away).
Oh yep, I was almost bored with meat already but this pork changed this. It was so, so nice. I would like to make a weekly occurrence of it.
I plan liver stew and pancakes for tomorrow. I am kinda bored of eggs now, in the usual simple forms. I managed to eat a scrambled eggs using one egg today (with smoked pork chuck) but thatâs it. My other eggs were consumed as sponge cake (still wonderful and versatile, I ate my meat with it) and egg milk.
I am bored with cheese too. Meat is the most tempting now. I have these phases.
City shopping in one week. I better get some ruminant meat before November is up! We will see but I actually very much decided on it weeks ago.
3 meals per day lately. I started at 10am today, itâs extremely unusual, I donât even remember the time when I ate before 3pm (my memory isnât bad with time related things but still)⌠I am more prone to get hungry earlier when I regularly have a negative calorie balance so itâs still not a huge surprise. I didnât eat little lately but I am kind of active⌠Just a little, some walks and weightlifting but itâs so much more than before My triceps got a serious workout, I feel that
I am so glad I do this seriously, I have enough energy and determination to do my workouts well and often enough now!
So I am in good spirits at the moment
Me again. I counted my average for my second week⌠Yep, I definitely donât need to eat whenever I am can but at some point I became my normal self so I feel the urge to eat moreâŚ
My second week was different from my first one. I got a bit hungrier and I ate significantly more. Thanks to my pork chuck (and the turkey wing on Sunday), my meat intake significantly raised and not surprisingly, my protein and fat intake as well. My carb intake doubled too (dairy, liver) due to the fact I got bored of my smoked pork (except sausage but I start to run out of that)⌠Nothing surprising, it will be interesting to compare these weeks with a future one when I really find my sweet spot.
Itâs a mere week while I still carried the attitude to eat as much as I can but I actually learned to eat properly so didnât really needed it but on this second week I went back to my usual low-carb calorie intake (vaguely. I canât track very accurately but itâs fine for me). What is with my body and its 2000 kcal I donât know but it automatically wants that amount on most days. It complains below and refuses food above, in average. No matter my weight, activity, how much carbs I eat as long as itâs below my natural ~80g net carbs limit⌠So I am there again after all those carni times when i hopelessly underate (not extremely but still, I like proper eating very nearly every day)âŚ
But I typically eat 4 times a day and thatâs bad. So hopefully that will get solved on the next week Well, it will be Zornfast and I definitely wonât eat that many times then, I never did as itâs very easy and convenient for me to do OMAD just not all the time. And I learned to eat properly on carnivore now and I will have my favorite meat, itâs calorie dense, satiating and easy to eat.
I am extremely satiated now but of course, I ate a lot today. Good things. I probably overdid it a tiny bit but oh well, I wonât get hungry early tomorrow It was my resting high calorie day, I only did a small walk, the weather is gloomy again. And even on the shiny day it was cloudy in the evening so we totally missed the meteor shower
Tomorrow wonât be better either. Sigh. I am so dependent on sunshine, itâs great I donât get enervated on gloomy days lately. It started before November but I suspect it has something to do with carnivore. Or lack of vegetables or something. As I never had this in my decade long low-carb times before, only lately.
But I still need nice weather. Oh well, I hope in no rain and very beautiful foggy scenery at least. I wanted to take a long forest walk and making photos until there are colorful leaves!
I try to be a bit less in the future, I have other things I wanted to focus in November and I spend way too much time with food again.
Blood for breakfast. It was delicious. Have I moved from carnivore to vampivore?
Itâs Old Halloween, or Martinmas. (11th of November). We should eat blood because of tradition and stories, not due to science.

I ate about 400g steak with butter for dinner, which I think is about a pound. Most steak in one sitting- ever.
Still was hungry so had an iced coffee with cream and now am done. I ate a decent breakfast of 2x sausages, but only had a very small fillet of lean fish for lunch. I walked for about 4 hours today and lifted weights so must have stirred up my appetite throughout the day with the activity.
Exercise has the side effect of increasing oneâs appetite. You are 3 hours in the future. Not yet sun set here. Salmon tonight. So I am still part bear. Maybe a vampyre bear?
I found it interesting that on the Feast of St. Martin my Sicilian father-in-law told me that it was all about tasting the wine that had been fermenting for about 3 months. But in the northern hemisphere, and researching blood puddings, St. Martinâs Day is also when one kills the village pig. The first thing to do is to collect the blood and make it into something edible (as it is highly nutritious).

So I should eat some blood sausages today. It very common here, every butcher has it.
food yesterday was
1.5 lb. NY strip steak
1 chicken breast
1 can of tuna
1 tin of sardines
going well on zero carb.
just cruising along in fine form.
bought more steaks on sale. bought me up some chicken since I read someone said the stores near them were limiting sales? so I thought, oh hell no, hit the store and bought 6 packs to add to my freezer stash.
So far no limits here on meats, just stupid TP and paper towels have limit of 2 of them again.
I am gonna eat alot of chicken today. I have 3 breasts I need to use now in the fridge. So will eat those up for sure. Sometimes I defrost âtoo muchâ and have to play catch up before I have to throw it out and I ainât ever throwing out meat.
I used to do a whole NoCarbtember (OMAD) back when I got hit with itchy red eczema. After one month later, my eczema is cleared up and at that point I just had no reason to continue doing it again.
Then come November, the eczema came back but this time it was flaky, white and dry. At first, I really didnât want to comeback doing OMAD again because I love eating whenever I want. Then, all of sudden my lymph node at the back of my neck is swollen. I was so panicked because there were no accompanied symptoms whatsoever. No flu, no fever, no sore throat, no sneeze, no sweats.
Usually when the lymph nodes are swollen at the back of the neck, it could be ear/tooth/throat infection. However, my ear/tooth/throat were totally fine. Iâm thinking it mightâve been covid but my smelling was also fine.
At that point, I just â â â â it⌠. Letâs pretend it is something deadly and just get back doing OMAD to prevent any upcoming symptoms that might be damaging me without knowing (since I have autoimmune disease, eczema)
Now, It is Day 6 of me back doing OMAD. 23 hours, I eat every 6 pm and just drink water whenever Iâm hungry. My flaky eczema are now almost gone, currently in process of getting back my normal skin. Last October my small eczema on both of my hands were completely cleared up, I have faith that these two big eczema in my legs would cleared up too.
Also, my lymph node has been reduced dramatically. First 5 days, it was pain. I couldnât move my head freely, couldnât even slept with side position. Now I feel better, I can do all of those things freely now.
At this point, Iâm just gonna continue doing OMAD till my whole skin get back to normal.
Wow that is fantastic. I hope it continues to clear up. They do say âfood that heals, food that harmsâ it may be that when you stick to omad you are leaving out some of the foods you were eating prior due to time constraints. They do say dairy nuts soya and a few other things inflame eczema. Anyway whatever it is i am sure you are feeling so much better and that is good. X

I ingredients of blood sausages is cow or pig blood, pig fat, some weat based binder.
So there is 3% carbs in it.
I guess you could ignore that, after all its a fat and blood party.

I did a 2 mad yesterday, but no pictures of the second meal. Thursday, Friday and Saturday I ate my meal at 9 am. My calories were actually really low yesterday, so I had agreed with myself that if I wanted something small in the evening I would. I wasnât starving or anything, just a little snacky lol. So I had some butter, a few tiny little baked cheese things, a couple pork rinds with the last of my pâtĂŠ, a tiny little beef stick and a little square of sharp cheddar cheese. It sounds like a lot but it really wasnât lol. But it hit the spot! I have a big round steak from my cow (very different than round steak from the grocer) on the menu for today after church!
Yeah, you know whatâs funny about doing OMAD. Itâs been a long time since last I had headache and common cold.
I used to get headaches like every 3 days. Itâs not just normal headache that goes away 2-3 hours. I literally need a sleep to make it go away. Otherwise I would end up suffering up to 16-18 hours of headache
I also used to get common cold every time I wake up no matter what time it is. I thought I was allergic to dust, mites or cold temperature or something. I even moved my bedroom to another room, just to prevent me from contracting common cold. After that, I still got the cold though until I finally found out about OMAD (Like 4 months later)
I donât get cold, coughs and flu at least hardly ever but I did wake up snuffly during the night had to use a eucalyptus stick (4head) to relieve the symptoms to get me back to sleep. Since doing carnivore I havenât used the stick except on my forehead once or twice during night to stop my brain being busy and working overtime! Always works.
Thinking perhaps your headaches were migraines if they lasted so long. Sometimes dairy sets them off. Mine used to be set off by the sunlight flickering through the trees as I was driving⌠drove me mad but I wear larger more wrap round sunglasses these days and no problems. The daylight changes affected me too when the light was dimming. I rarely suffer with them these days but still keep the migralieve handy just in case

Opening day of deer hunting season here, and exactly when I start typingâŚwhat do I hear? Hubby fired a shot! Translated, that means venison will be on the menu soon. Not sure where its gonna fit in the freezers, but, heyâŚweâll cross that road soon enough.
Class went well yesterday, and the group had a blast. I was starving afterwards though, and got a little dizzy. Not sure why. I ate breakfast- a pile of over-easy eggs and butter. Took my vities, and drank water and some coffee. Ended up taking a 2-3 hour nap. Then went to bed again around midnight. Hubby said he thought I;d been burning the candle at both ends - trying to get my shop cleaned and prepped, and then working 9-10 hour shifts - or maybe my iron is low again and I need to increase that one supplement again. The iron complex is an easy fix, so Iâll just hope that is the problem. Lord knows I eat plenty of red meat, but that darn iron level is impossible to keep up!
We had a LOT of rain last night, so all the snow is gone- for the moment. Looks kinda dreary out. Gonna go cook some bacon and make things right. =) Have a blessed day, all!
