No side effects

#1

Hello everybody! First - thank you for such a lovely forum with lots of useful information and cordial atmosphere!

I am on my day 11 of keto and I am a bit concerned that on my week 1 I didn’t have any keto flu, no headache, no fatigue, no nothing, feeling great. I only do have one side effect - rash.

I still have no side effects, except rash, but it is mild. (but itchy!)

Does that mean that I am not in ketosis since everywhere it says you WILL have keto flu etc?
I wonder if anybody experiences the same thing…Thanks!

Not everyone gets the flu (I didn’t) and most people don’t get the rash (I didn’t) so you are batting .500.

Do a search for keto rash and there may be some solutions.

KCKO and trust that low carbs (20g net or so) will work for you. You are doing that aren’t you :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thanks Rob!

Yes, of course, less than 20 gr every day, almost religiously : )

I have still not had keto flu and it’s been three years…

Megan talks about keto rash and what to do on this podcast (appox min 23:38) Episode Live Q&A with Megan Ramos. Agree, not everyone gets kero flu. Can’t say I did, just felt “different”,but not unpleasant.

Welcome
I never had the keto flu, I did get a rash anywhere my body would sweat and touch clothes like ankles/socks or elbows/sleeves. I found goat milk lotion to work the best for it.

I never got the keto flu and have been eating keto for almost 2 years. Everybody is different.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #8

Amen! “Thou shalt eat no carbohydrate if thou wishest to live long in the land the LORD hath given you.”

Thank you, will see if i can find one…This rash is pretty annoying, isn’t it?

For me the rash only really appeared after a heavy work out on muscle groups that were lean already or at the edge of fat near lean muscles. It would get pretty bad if I forgot to treat it, I also switch to a goats milk soap and that seemed to help as well. I have not had a flare up in a few weeks, but I have been out of my normal routine for nearly a month and changed how I work considerably, I no longer sweat as much.
