Hello, all!
I started listening to the podcast about 3 or 4 weeks ago, and researching keto in my spare time.
I decided this diet was worth a shot for my laundry this of problems/ailments. I’m not diabetic, nor do I have any life-threatening conditions, but I had hopes that ketosis would help me in several areas in which others have had success!
And has it ever!!
I’m starting week 3 tomorrow and I’m so stoked on my results. I doubt I’m entirely fat-adapted yet, but I’m definately in ketosis and LOVING the effects so far.
Aside from over 9lbs gone, my stomach has never felt better (I have gastrointestinal issues) and my mood has greatly improved. Sleep is much more restful and I have more energy throughout the day.
I’ve also taken up baking, which is kind of funny when starting a LCHF diet, but almond flour is my best pal in keeping me satisfied and not feeling like I’m missing out on anything.
My meals are DELICIOUS and I’m enjoying the life!
My closest friends and partner are supportive, and those who tell me I’m going to have a heart attack, I default to telling them: “if you’d like the science behind a HF diet for heart disease PREVENTION and other reasons it’s a beneficial way of life, I’m happy to give you links to multiple studies. If you’re not THAT interested, kindly shut up”
