Hi all,
I’m sorry if this has been asked but very new to the forum and making my way through all the topics p.s. love the info on cholesterol, that’s the only real health concern and doctor has me on Crestor (statin) and I’m thinking I need to ditch it…tbc.
Anyway! I had a question about exercise. I probably train BJJ (a martial art) 2-3 times a week. Depending on which classes I attend it’s anywhere from 1-3hrs…don’t worry, this isn’t non-stop intensity, quite a good balance of strength and cardio BUT my concern is what I need to watch out for if anything by following keto? I’ve trained 5-6days previously so would be good to know if there are any warning signs to watch out for that might impact my ketosis (if/when I’m in it!)
Should I be increasing any macros to balance the exercise?
I’m less than 2 weeks in. I still don’t know if my “Keto flu” was a coincidence (had a cough leading up to it…) and I’m finding it hard to know if I even understand anything that my body is trying to say but did drop about 3-4kg (scales are bad) while I was feeling average…the plan is to stick with it long term as it seems to really change lives but I’m hoping one day I’ll be able to figure out whether I’m fat-adapted / Keto adapated…whatever the correct term is, it seems like you’re just meant to know?? Haha.
While I think I can drop probably 15kg (I’m a tall/big build but 111kg is a bit too big), I’m not particularly worried about this, feels good just to eat better. Sounds like it may come off anyway.
