I have noticed several changes to my body since I lost a lot of weight recently, but one of the changes has me concerned a bit. Its my temples which seem to have shrunk/reduced, noticeably. There is now a pit or recess in the temple area, on both sides of my head, where there wasn’t before.
Does anyone know anything about this and whether I should see my doctor?
Probably from the weight loss. If it were me I wouldn’t worry about it. In some animals it’s a sign of dehydration so you might want to make sure your hydrated sufficiently just in case we are the same. Never heard of that but I don’t know a lot of things.

Your temples are starting to look normal. Don’t worry about it. Your cheeks may start to look hollow, too. That is also normal, when we’re no longer fat. And while I think to mention it, the bones of your chest may start to show through eventually. It’s been so long, I’ve forgotten, but I think they are called something like “ribs.”
Yes, I see my cheeks are receding (there was some fat there so I’m happy to see it going, but its going soooooo verrrrry sloooooowly, compared to where else the fat has already gone. Its interesting to see where the body takes the fat from, which is not the fat I wanted gone the most (belly/torso) although a good portion of my belly fat has gone and its mostly just floppy flab now.
The bottom of my rib cage is now evident and it is quite prominent when I lay down. I can also feel my bones elsewhere and I can reach really far around my back with my arm/hand, to scratch places (for example) that I have not been able to before (perhaps only as a teenager).
But I know the body is smart and it is doing what it needs to do, with the many millions of years of knowledge that it has built into itself, and so I am not really worried. Just thought my temples it did not look right or that it might mean something.
You should take measurements and photos of yourself at regular intervals. It’s easier to see the progress that way, especially if you have a stall!

Welcome to the club! I can see the fat receding in reverse order of its arrival. Which, I am afraid, means the belly bulge will be the last to go.
P.S.—But hey, 18 months ago, I was having trouble wiping myself, and I suddenly realized a month ago that I was doing that without even thinking about it! So no complaints.
I have this problem with the fat on temples when I eat too many carbs/fat/bad combination. Basically, when I put on weight, the facial fat shows in 2 ways - my cheeks are no more hollow and my temples are as if ‘swollen’. yes, takes time to get back to normal state, and usually only diet doesnt help, have to excercise it out or at least walk it off for days. I didn’t think temples can gather these deposits but it seems to be the case. It happens when i don’t watch my nuts and chocolate intake.
I have seen on someone that does facial analysis that shrunken temple signifies a specific potassium salt deficiency. I will look to see if I can find which potassium salt it is.
