My "how the hell to stay warm" low calorie session

(Tim W) #1

I’m not going to call this a fast, though some would.

My wife is fasting for a week or so and I’m not going to join her due to the colder weather and I don’t want to freeze for a week.

So, here’s my plan, I’m going to eat very low calorie and see what level of input is required to achieve a comfortable temp. In previous water/coffee only fasts I’ve suffered cold hands/feet etc, I’ve been pretty miserable, since I’m at around 15% BF I don’t have much insulation.

I’m going to start with two tsp of MCT oil in the morning and my black coffee (we are taking a break from HWC as well).

Later in the day, I’ll have two eggs and one avocado cooked in olive oil or bacon grease.

I’ll do this for 4-5 days and might go longer if I can get my intake right.

I’ll report back with my starting numbers (I have not weighed myself in months… no need really, but I’ll do so for this) and how things go. This starts Wed.

Aren’t you worried about lowering your metabolism

He might have been 9 months ago when he posted this.

Lol I didn’t even look at that. It showed up on my latest page

Lol that’s crazy. And yes calorie restriction and fasting will lead to a slow metabolism if you don’t bump the calories back up. Consequently, a slowed metabolism leads to coldness.
