Most of the elimination diets I’ve looked into eliminate the common allergens:
Grains
legumes (incl peanuts and peas)
Nuts
Eggs
fruit
Dairy
Nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, white potatoes, tobacco)
You can still eat meat, fats, and leafy greens. I’m going from memory here, but I usually try to stick with the elimination diet for a month and then try ONE probable offender. I think the recommendation is to go six months, but I just can’t be THAT strict that long. But my suspect food was dairy and I was right - I can’t have it. The protein in dairy gives me chest pain and palpitations. I am pretty sure that I do NOT have an egg issue, so there is some consolation in that!
