Low carb low protein recipes?

(Lindsey) #1

When you’ve gone over on protein what recipes do you make for dinner?

My go to high-fat, low-protein meal is vegetables (zoodles or mushrooms or broccoli or cabbage) with alfredo sauce.

Chocolate Mousse, lol. 600 Calorie fat bomb.

Do you make the alfredo sauce from scratch?

Here is an awesome alfredo recipe I follow. I used roasted garlic in mine, not garlic powder but you can add any herbs/spices you’d like. I usually make half of this recipe and thats plenty for my husband and me (haven’t convinced my kids to try it yet):
1 stick of butter
8oz block of cream cheese (room temp if possible)
7-8oz of finely shredded Parmesan
2 cups of Heavy Whipping Cream
Garlic seasoning
Pink sea salt
Pepper

Melt butter in pan and then add the cream cheese.
Whisk until combined. Add the HWC and bring to a slow boil.
Add garlic, salt and pepper. Turn the heat down and add the Parmesan, about 1/3 at a time and whisk in.
Once the cheese is heated, melted and combined… taste it and add whatever you think it needs.

Mmm, that does sound tasty! I’ll definitely be giving that a go, thanks.

I have a go to cheesy cream of broccoli soup recipe. Of course the bookmark is on my computer.

I make the easiest alfredo sauce ever. Makes 1-2 servings depending on how much you wanna eat:
2TBS butter
4TBS heavy cream
1/4 cup grated parmesan

In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Then stir in cream and parmesan. Stir over heat until cheese is melted and you have yummy alfredo goodness!

That is easy! Yum.
