Hi~ I’m newish to keto (about 4 weeks in) and I started keto to try and help with depression and these awful sugar and carb cravings, and it does appear so far to be helpful which is fantastic. Cravings almost completely vanished and that is so freeing it’s unbelievable. So keto is totally worth it for me on that alone.
I have a question about weight loss on keto though. I’m 5’7" female age 23 and currently around 121-123lbs putting me at a low end of normal BMI. However I’d love to lose some “vanity pounds” which I think would really help me with my negative self image. Basically I’m a perfectionist and see a lot of room for improvement - I have fatty thighs and arms for example. I can certainly lose 10lbs ish and I’d feel a lot happier about myself.
So has anyone had a success losing weight or fat at a lower weight on keto? I also have tried intermittent fasting but for some reason it makes me feel actually more depressed and triggers me to try to fast eternally longer, which is obviously not what I’m after as I do not want to end up anorexic!!
