I could answer that but it’s for my individual case. The way to be able to minimize fat and protein. I tended to overeat both… And I was already a veteran low-carber.
I had too much plant carbs too but there was no way to avoid that, I already felt it too restrictive, I had to wait for a change.
I did much experiments (they are fun), tried out different things… One can’t possibly know what style suits them, I had to try the potentially good ones out, train myself, see and decide where I should go…
I never needed to focus on enough fat as no way I ever undereat it. But if you don’t lose fat too quickly and feel okay, you probably do it right…?
Too much protein… Well I eventually noticed that how much my body is comfortable with. We may have some vague idea about the right protein range for a human but there are still individual differences. Most people can’t dangerously overeat protein but some of us easily go overboard. I don’t like to waste precious, costly protein especially that it means I stay fat as it brings too much fat. So I aim to get my needs but that’s it. And sometimes I need more and it’s fine. You may not need to care about it, I probably won’t after I slim down if that ever happens.
You may need to focus a bit on your electrolytes. I automatically eat enough sodium but had magnesium problems on keto. Especially when I didn’t eat much meat. But many people need extra sodium too. Never cared about potassium but that’s the third one.
I know nothing about your actual diet, needs or even that you need to lose fat or not so it’s hard to say smart things… Why do you think you overeat protein? You have some low protein need ideas or you truly overdo it, maybe? I can’t possibly now.
