Keto levels for starters

#1

I got a pretty small question for you all, but i can’t find a good answer out there myself. I just started doing a keto diet for a week now. everyone says the best keto values range between 0.5/3 or 1.5/3. I just measured for the first time and my Keto values are over 8. I’m combining it with intermitting fasting (16-8). is this value too high and unhealthy or is this fine for beginners?

Thanks beforehand to all.

I’ve been ketoing for 3.5 months, and my pee sticks are still at 4.0 most days. Occasionally I get a reading of 8.0. I think we’re all different, and the readings need to be interpreted on an individual basis. In other words, I wouldn’t worry.

Also, if you’re using pee sticks, apparently they measure only one kind of ketone (there are three). This is part of the reason people say pee sticks are inaccurate.

Same here. And I feel great, so I’m not worried.
