ha! I did take a second glance at the name, but didn’t realize why it seemed so familiar out of context!

#238

Oh sure, you start off with a small one, but then another, and another!

And they get Bigger, and BIGGER!

It’s a trap @Ruina! Run away! RUN AWAY!

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #239

This is a likely scenario, but I also have to be mindful that things need to be either packable, or something I’m willing to leave behind.

#240

I’m sure this is true in your situation, but you’ve heard of the word “addiction”, right?

I’ve seen this take over too many people…dear ones, I love.

I just don’t want you to fall into the same fate!

You notice the weavers on this thread aren’t commenting. They’re too busy weaving! It takes a objective person to make these warnings.

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #241

You don’t know how well you are selling me on weaving.

#242

It all starts with a simple lap loom.

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #243

I’m sure I could fit a little loom and some fibers in here somewhere.

#244

Ooh, a Ukulele!

You need to make a video of you playing, and post it! Maybe a lullaby?

Before you know it, you’ll have raw fiber stuck in corners and crevices, you never knew existed.

From the picture you posted above, you have NO IDEA the opportunities there.

I taught my friend who was a big quilter how to knit and her husband has never forgiven me!!

Her yarn addiction is worse than mine!!!

(Janelle) #246

I have you guys so beat. I’m also a floor and table loom and spinning wheel dealer so you know, they find their way to me.

#247

Okay, so I will NEVER be introducing you to my wife.

Sorry, she’s a sweet lady, but I refuse to allow you two to meet!

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #248

I am still pretty terrible. I enjoy it because I am not musically inclined, so I can play around with it without giving myself any pressure to be any good. It’s more a relaxation tool than an instrument. I also use it with kindergarten age kids to start class. It’s a nice way to get everyone’s attention without yelling at anyone. Sets a much happier tone for class time.

#249

That’s Awesome!

#250

I took my best friend’s kids to a pottery atelier (a late x-mas present)…i remember two actors from melrose place had a similar-themed store in Seattle and it was a fun place to go, something different. I hope I got their creative juices going and they created a nice memory

(Sophie) #251

I believe I am fast on your heels. Hubby and I drove down to Orlando to pick up my 7th and largest loom on Friday and drove back yesterday! Uuugghhh! She’s still in the SUV. We’ll unload her today, we were just so exhausted by the time we got in last night. It didn’t stop me from doing more research on it though.

@dlc96_darren is right @Ruina it’s really a black hole that you get sucked into. Tread (or Treadle) carefully! Hahaha see what I did there?

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #252

I can’t wait to be able to make puns like these myself!

#253

(Sophie) #254

:joy::rofl::joy: Weaving will warp you!

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #255

I’m gonna write that one down…

(Janelle) #256

On my car.
