Keto Condensed Milk! Danger, Danger! (another recipie PSA)

(Tom) #41

A thin layer of butter in a glass pie pan  If/when I make it again, I might try an almond flour or crushed macadamia crust, but for the first experiment I just wanted to see if it would set up.

This is actually amazing. Imagine, if you will…

KETO KEY LIME FUDGE

(chris.coote) #43

Used it for fudge with a little maple essence and crumbled bacon added in

I loved it, but the family said it was too bitter. Made a second batch with extra swerve and liquid sucralose. They thought the bitterness was bearable at that point, but for me it was ungodly sweet. (I’d describe it as an empty cold type of sweet) No middle ground found in this round

And Swerve is erythritol so you are safe. (Truth in advertising: second ingredient is oligosaccarides, third is natural flavorings, but the only measurable ingredient is erythritol)

Oh my… condensed milk was my downfall b4 Keto! That looks delish!

Ok, I wish I’d seen this thread before Christmas! Oh well, I guess I have a year to try and come up with a ketofied banofee pie! Only thing I used sweetened condensed milk for BK (before keto); relative novice in the kitchen! Thinking maybe avocado instead of banana? I don’t do well with raw avocado; been meaning to try it cooked, though… hmmm possibilities!
