Keto blood testing machine

(b) #1

Which keto blood testing machine should I purchase? I seem to run across the keto mojo brand frequently. Is there one that sells at a retail store vs online? thanks

Are you diabetic? If so your insurance provide you all your testing supplies for free…mine does that through a company called Livongo.

Not diabetic–Just on Keto and interested in monitoring for reassurance.

When I had to buy my own I got my strips on ebay for much cheaper than in the stores. The meters are pretty cheap ($10-$20) so no real issue there. I used a Bayer Contour Next.

Great to know–So this brand tests ketones and is not blood glucose?

(matt ) #6

oh my bad…yeah thats a glucose mater…I have never had a ketone meter…I totally misread your post…sorry.

want me to delete all this so you have a clean post to start with?

No problem—from the research I’ve done the ketone monitor isn’t as easy to find as blood glucose.

Keto Mojo is very cost effective

I see a lot of pictures posted of this one:

FreeStyle Optium Neo Blood Glucose and Ketone Monitoring System

And it does both…maybe all ketone meters do both?

The Mojo is just a rebranding so look around at pricing if that meter interests you.

Ketosis strips are .99 each for life. I love mine.
