Keto and thyroid medication

Hi! I am new to keto and I have been reading so many different opinions about doing keto while taking synthroid. I have been taking the same dose for hashimotos for ten years. Does doing a keto diet affect your thryroid? Looking for answers from those with similar condition!

I’ve been taking synthroid for nearly a decade. I started out at a low dose, but gradually increased and my dosage has stayed the same for years. Before keto, my TSH was at 4.4. Since starting restricted calorie keto in January of 2017, my TSH level has been trending downward and is now 2.1. On my next doctor visit, I may ask about reducing the dosage.
