Just started with keto, suggestions needed

#1

Hi everyone. I started keto on Jan. 1 and am currently 10 lbs down. Feeling great!! I don’t feel hungry like I did before. I like to try different recipes. Suggestions on cookbooks or websites? I like to keep my meals simple (no expensive ingredients that I will never us up). Thanks in advance!

Can’t get more simple than a ribeye with butter!

You may also want to Google “Fat Bombs”. Many recipes posted on the web for no cost. These can help you obtain the high fat content of the keto diet.

I find that getting enough fat is a challenge! Appreciate the advise.

@Nettie422 Welcome and congratulations with your great start. When thinking about recipes don’t forget the mother of all keto recipe pages on the dudes website http://2ketodudes.com/recipes.aspx

Welcome aboard! I’ve recently discovered ketoconnect.com and they also have a YouTube channel. All the recipes I’ve made have been winners with my family and not super complicated.

PM me for specific questions?

Keep in mind the Paleo crowd also does fat bombs and their carb intake can be a lot higher than ours. Just make sure your checking the content on anything you make.

A buttered ribeye is glorious. :+1:

I too think that dietdoctor.com is a great resource.

I’ve also picked up several of Maria Emmerich’s cookbooks. I think the one that we use the most - my wife does the cooking - is “Keto Comfort Foods”.
