Just took my last sip of bone broth and am starting my second extended fast. Hoping to go until Sunday evening, aiming for water only at least the first 24 hours, and then we’ll go from there based on how I feel.

Feel free to ignore, just forcing myself to be accountable through public posting.

Hour 13: weight 180.8. Woke up drained, and absentmindedly made myself my morning maca latte, whoops. Oh well, I don’t want to waste it, I will sip and then keep on going.

I have been hitting the gym pretty hard and my body has been screaming at me to take a break, so that’s what I’ll do today. I may see if there is a massage slot open at my nearby masssge therapist.

It’s not easy. Be gentle with yourself and do what you can. If you’ve been training extremely hard maybe you are too lean for a long fast. Why are you fasting? What’s your goal?

Weight loss and insulin sensitivity. I have a solid 20 lbs of belly fat to lose yet. And that’s not being vain haha.

Restart. Weight 181.6, up from yesterday, up from my lowest of 176.8. Let’s see if I can kick start things again!

Going with just my electrolyte today

I’m over 66 hours in so far, with just electrolytes, and am starting to feel a bit hungry now… it might pass, but if not then I’ll eat at 72 hours as I had aimed to do.

I’ve been having weird gut issues that have been causing mild nausea mixed with hungry. I’d like to at least go the day and let it clean itself out before I get some bone broth or fatty coffee. Good luck as you continue on!!

Hour 15: The longest I have gone without some sort of fatty coffee in the morning. Or coffee in the morning… finally getting the habit kicked without headache or being “zombie teacher.”

I have had hunger grumbles all morning, but more uncomfortable grumbles than true hunger… I think my body has just gotten used to me ditching my IF lately and eating whenever I wanted. And having my morning fatty drink

I’m curious if my grumbles have been digestion instead of hunger. I’m used to being told something and just thinking that’s the way it is. Working on thinking for myself. Luckily Keto makes my mind more clear and more readily available to process ideas on my own.

It may be, I have had some digestion issues the last few days, wouldn’t surprise me.

My “digestion issues” disappeared after I started experimenting with ZC/carnivore. I hear my stomach grumble all the time, but it doesn’t seem to correlate with any issues which makes me think I’m just hearing my system doing the digestion. Before ZC, I’d hear some rumbles and rush to the bathroom because I could never be sure what was happening. 40 hours into a fast and I think the noises I hear are a mix of hunger and just finalizing the digestion of what I last ate.

My class just came in after lunch and asked why it was so warm in my room… I am freezing. May need to end this thing with dinner, I don’t want to force anything on my body
