Dragging ass big time today. When is this mental clarity and limitless energy going to kick in??
It’s Day 20 and I want a Cheeto
Whatever you do DON’T eat a Cheeto! I am almost 8 weeks in and have noticed a gradual increase in energy just the past couple of weeks except during hormonal times…then I feel like crawling across the floor on my face
4 months for me and I still have a bit of brain fog and my energy isn’t limitless, but it’s definitely more stable.
I also still get really tired when on my period.
It’s still way better than before!
I will admit that I got mental clarity and some energy when I first went keto but then that just became my new normal and I still get exhausted after a long day or if there is something stressful going on. It’s not magical but great things are happening inside and I find it helps to look at what is better since you switched. Day 20 is still early days and you’re still adjusting and tweaking things and may continue to do so for a long time. I am still experimenting and I’m in month 6.
Keeping a food journal will help, not just for macros, but for how different foods make you feel. In your case, on energy levels.
I just don’t think I can. I bought some last week, and they definitely kill any desire I have to snack. My husband loves them though.
I’ve just had an off day today. I recently started menopause, and keto has absolutely killed my hot flashes. I find that just amazing.
I’m not really craving Cheetos, lol. That’s the nice thing about it…I haven’t had the mind-bending cravings like what I’ve had on low fat restrictive diets.
I found a white cheddar powder at my local grocery store, it lives near the popcorn. It has no carbs and is wonderful sprinkled on pork rinds. It’s not unprocessed, but really good as a treat.
Mine too, isn’t it amazing?? It’s a reason to stay well behaved too. They come back super fast when I go off plan and can stick around for quite a while even after I’ve been solidly good.
Ugh…I still feel lousy during hormonal times even now and I’m coming up to my 8th month

Hang in there! I am 7.5 weeks in and just getting a handle on my cravings in the last week. And my energy only started blooming a few days ago. I woke up three mornings in a row and felt rested and ready to go.

The worst bit for me is that I can’t even fast…I need all the fat I can get or I’m a horrible person!
YUP! Only time I get the noticable mental clarity now is when I do an extended fast or take exogenous ketones.
I wanted some Ruffles real bad yesterday. Those salty devils are my fav. Now, I’m not promoting snacking but Moon Cheese makes a good Cheetos imposter!
