acetoacetate 12 mmol/l beta-hydroxybutyrate 1.4 mmol/l glucose 4.8
It doesn't make sense, need help on these readings please anyone out there
Well 4.8 glucose is nice and normal. It’s non diabetic, not pre diabetic.
The Ketones figure … errrr is that mean to read 1.2 (instead of 12?)

Oh, I see. I don’t really understand the differences (in how they are created and used) between the three ketones we can test, but urine test results tend to be the worst. I think that’s because what you’re eating and how much you’re drinking affect this a lot. If you’re slightly “dehydrated” or you just guzzled a lot of water, this will skew the results.
When I was testing all three (urine, breath, and blood), there was not a lot of correlation between them, but I gave up testing urine first, because it was by far the most different from the other two.
Since the urine strips are relatively cheap, they’re useful as a gross measure of ketosis, but I wouldn’t look at the value that much.
I found urine strips invaluable at the start of my journey in April, it helped me to not go into EDKA. (prolonged fasting would get me into that state)
Thanks for your reply’s Guys
Ah yes, makes sense. Any reason for Low carb / Keto Grom? any issues? Got any other stats?
HbA1c or kg etc?
Was diagnosed as diabetic type 2 in April, decided to fight this thing. Started with micro dosing Mounjaro and intermittent fasting then went over to prolonged fasting. Lost 35 kg so far need to drop another 20 kg. Have not gone for another HbA1c test yet. My Dr has removed 2 of my medications and halved another. I give credit to prolonged fasting and ketosis burning the fat.
Is it possible that the acetoacetate results are because you are dehydrated? The other 2 readings seems ideal.
No my liquid consumption is between 2 to 3 liters a day.(water and black decaf coffee and tea, no sweetners)
That’s what start me on Keto 2 years ago. I lost 23kg, no meds required. I do enjoy highly caffinated coffee though.
I can’t see any reason to return to a diet that gave me diabetes
