I have been doing intermittent fasting since September 2017, and I hit a stall. So I wanted to try an extended fast, and it was easy. I have completed four fasts, usually Sunday evening to Thursday evening (one time I went until Friday evening). Here are the hours and the starting dates:
- 4/8 - 93 hours
- 4/15 - 122 hours (I made it until Friday)
- 4/22 - 95 hours
- 4/29 - 95 hours
During the fast I am taking the following in the morning:
- Metformin 500 mg (prescribed by my doctor)
- Electrolyte Stamina (not the new improved formula) This has the following in it (the actual dose is 6 pills, they are not small pills):
– Calcium - 390 mg
– Magnesium - 290 mg
– Sodium - 270 mg
– Potassium - 590 mg - Cinnamon - 2000 mg
- Vitamin D - 5000 IU
During the day, this is what I am consuming:
- Sparkling Water ( Wegmans Italian Sparkling Water, I miss the carbonation of Soda)
- Tea (Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea, I must confess, this is delicious) I would usually have this in the morning, possibly into the early afternoon
- Filter Water (usually very cold)
- Himalayan Salt (in the evening)
I do want to add that I recently got a blood test last week. The numbers look good. a1c is down to 5.7 from 7.8 six months ago(Yeah!).
I am planning on continuing to do this, I am curious if anyone else has or is doing this?
