At least I’m not drinking Turkish coffee, I drink that medium level Espresso stuff…Isn’t higher cholesterol a good thing? :face_with_monocle: :cowboy_hat_face:

Unfiltered it raises the LDL no. so filter the coffee and you should be okay. But a small sub group seems to not do well with any coffee, decaf or not. It probably has nothing to do with caffine, since chocolate isn’t a confounder, and it contains as much caffine as decaf coffee does. This article speaks of Cafestol and Kahweol which could be the cause of that high rise in LDLs from coffee before tests. There isn’t alot of literature about this interaction. So this article I shared for those looking for info.
