IF and Dizzy at 9pm

(Jen Garrison) #1

I have been Keto since September. I IF most of the time, M-F it fits nicely into my work schedule, and it has worked out great for me. I generally eat between 9am and 3pm, then just hydrating in the evening. This set up worked wonderfully for me, until 2 weeks ago…

The first few days I thought it was a fluke, as my days have been mentally stressful. Between 9pm and 9:30pm I get this overwhelming feeling of dizziness, but otherwise am fine. The first few days I brushed it off as being tired, the 5th day my mom handed me 3 cashews and it disappeared. I’m not nauseous or physically dizzy.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have 3 doctors that work my medical end of keto together and they are a little stumped, and suggested a post here. There is no change in my blood sugar at that time and I am constantly well hydrated.

I guess I am mostly stumped because IF has worked great for me the majority of the time (5-6 days a week) since late October.

Thanks in advance for you thoughts and suggestions!

I have experienced some dizziness, after IF for a couple months and fasted for 2 days couple times, from what i have been reading in “the art and science of low carb living” I need to make sure my sodium intake was up to 4-5g daily. my job is very physical daily and i would go to the gym couple times a week and sit in the sauna. so for me i think it was the sodium, i have kept an eye on it the last week or so and feel much better.

I have heard wonderful things about this book, but sadly it is not offered as an audiobook and my visual impairment does not handle the written word.
