I ate something I shouldn't

Thanks. Trying not to freak out about it, but my belly is definitely not happy. I really do think if it was food it should have passed by now. Thank you so much, and I will keep everyone posted.

Do you have a fever?

(thefeatherdustersllc) #23

Nope, I have absolutely no other symptoms. Just this consistent on and off gurgling and a tightness in my upper abdomen. No fever and I’m not tender to the touch. I have not eaten anything for over 48 hours now, and I am thinking because I am fat adapted that is why I am not hungry in part. I don’t feel weak either, which I was thinking I would be after having gone so long without a solid meal. Right now I am drinking a glass of soda water with some apple cider vinegar in it. It’s not really doing anything for me.

Ok, the lack of fever is a bit of good news. Seeing how things go tomorrow and seeking medical attention if pain continues would be a good thing. If you had a fever right now, I would think more immediate attention would perhaps be better.

Thank you. (:

I had the same reaction to some rice and breadcrumbs I ate once when misguidedly trying to be polite. Never again. It went away, but it took a day or two. I was miserable in the meantime, though. Lots of water and, if you can take an anti inflammatory, it might help.

Like a spring or maybe ibuprofen? Ugh, I just want it to go away. It’s just been one wackadoodle weekend what with my belly and all of this political nonsense. It would be really nice to be able to go to sleep.

I tell people I’m sensitive to gluten. It gives me terrible stomach cramps and gas within an hour of eating it. That usually stops any further questions since no one wants to live through toxic fart smells. If I’m really going for impact, I mention the toxic methane smell.

I can’t take anti inflammatories, so I don’t know if it would help, but if it’s inflammation in your gut then it just might. I do know it did go away after a couple of days, but was much better after the first night. Try ibuprofen and see if it helps. I hope you feel better soon.

Lol!

(thefeatherdustersllc) #31

Thank you, me too. Me too.

My status hasn’t changed, I’m going to doctor. It feels like trapped gas, won’t come out.

#33

Good! Glad to know you are seeking medical attention.

#34

How are you doing? Hope you got some help.

Ahhh, lesson learned. The hardest way possible. I gave myself gastritis. My body has stopped producing the enzymes that digest bread. Imagine that!! (: I was given lidocaine to numb things up for a bit and sent home to bed. It was awful. I have never experienced such discomfort for so long, so fast. I have been sipping on bone broth and drinking ginger tea. I have not eaten a solid meal since Saturday evening at 6:30. This was my first long fast and it wasn’t planned. Over 72 hours!! I’m shocked that I haven’t been one bit hungry, and aside from my gastritis, have had plenty of energy. I’m definitely fat adapted!! I feel sooo much better today and am considering a simple breakfast, 2 eggs and an avocado. Thank you all SO much for your support and guidance. The doc told me it could be 3-4 weeks before my belly is healed. Wow!! All this over a fricking hamburger bun. I have been deeply humbled by the intelligence and majesty of my own body. Thank you.
